Cultivating Community is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to cultivate food justice in Greater Portland by providing education, resources, and opportunities to grow and share culturally familiar food.

FOUNDED IN: 2001

GEOGRAPHIC REACH: Regional

Youth Leadership Internships: Interns from local high schools get the opportunity to participate in making their neighborhood more food secure with growing, cooking, and service projects.

School Partnerships: Cultivating Community partners with local schools in the form of curriculum support, enrichment activities, and program and professional development.

Community Gardens: Maintaining 11 gardens throughout Portland for residents to grow.

New American Sustainable Agriculture Project: Provides an opportunity for immigrant, refugee, and asylum seeking residents to grow, learn, and train in affordable growing space with shared infrastructure.
