Customer Maintenance Specialist

The Role

As a Customer Maintenance Specialist, you will be focused on reviewing and processing customer account data with a high level of productivity and accuracy daily. The ideal candidate will have the ability to consistently meet deadlines and work well within a team environment. This position requires excellent Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to multitask while working in multiple databases. This position may support more than one department within the company. This position is part-time, in an office, with the potential to evolve into a full-time position. This position is based in Fairfield, Maine.

Responsibilities

  • Complete, maintain, and process pertinent documentation and records with high accuracy and attention to detail to ensure data integrity in the customer management systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple applications.
  • Maintains an efficient rate of productivity with a high rate of accuracy.
  • Ability to meet schedule deadlines and be flexible to support peak volumes.
  • Takes the initiative to obtain and consistently upgrade knowledge by participating in training opportunities.
  • Understands and adheres to established department protocols, processes.
  • Builds relationships and works closely with co-workers, at all levels of the organization in a positive manner to leverage the knowledge and the experiences of the JSS staff to support the customer experience.
  • Identifies and communicates system failures and areas of opportunity to enhance the customer experience.
  • Regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability is an essential function of this position.
  • Hours vary during the peak season.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Salesforce Knowledge a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant computer software applications, and the ability to work with more than one program simultaneously, including Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to learn difficult information quickly
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • A forward thinker
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a self-starter
  • A team player with a strong work ethic and an outgoing positive attitude
  • The propensity for taking that extra step in finding the right solutions for each customer's needs
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices, the customer's first approach
  • CRM/OMS experience a plus but not required
  • Proficient in keyboarding/typing skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
  • Ability to sit at a computer for at least 75% of the workday
  • Ability to bend, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds
