Choosing Microgreens

We offer a large selection of microgreen vegetables, flowers, and herbs, plus a robust selection of several mixes. Here are a few types or categories of microgreens that we find growers are commonly looking for:

  • Bulk Microgreen Seeds

    • Most varieties we offer, including our mixes, are available in bulk sizes of 5lb or 25 lb.
  • Easy Microgreens

    • If you are just getting started with microgreens and looking to select easier varieties or pre-made mixes for the beginner, we recommend you take a look at our article 12 Easy Choices: Best Microgreens for the Beginning Grower. In general, we recommend radishes, mustards, and kales or our brassica micro mixes as a good choice for growers just starting out.
  • Fast-Growing Microgreens & Slow-Growing Microgreens

    • We consider varieties that mature in 10–15 days fast-growing. Slow-growing vegetable microgreens mature in 16–25 days. A few of our herb microgreens take a bit longer at 26–30 days. For a full comparison of all the varieties we offer and their maturity rates, take a look at our Microgreens Comparison Chart (PDF).
  • Mild Microgreens

    • Kales, broccolis, cabbages, kohlrabi, and mizuna are all options for a mild yet flavorful microgreen. Our Mild Micro Mix consists of mizuna, cabbage, kale, and kohlrabi and is easy-to-grow with a pretty blend of greens with a touch of purple.
  • Spicy Microgreens

    • Radishes, mustards, arugula, and cress are a few recommended types of microgreens for a spicier kick. Our Spicy Micro Mix consists of red and green mustards and our Confetti Mix is a high contrast mix of purple, green, and red radish and both are easy-to-grow options.
