Select from seed flats, cell plug flats, and jumbo plug flats. Typically, the larger the seedling, the larger the cell you will need to allow for proper root development. Those crops that will be in flats longer may benefit from being started in 20-row flats and "potted up" into plug flats or propagation flats. Seedlings can also be started in, or transplanted into, plug inserts or pots for seedling sales. All of our products follow industry 1020 standard (actual footprint: 11" x 21"). The smaller the number of cells in a flat, the larger each cell is in size: 24–50 cells are good for larger seeds, whereas 200–288 cells are good for tiny seeds. Available in small and case quantities. To compare products, including compatibility across products, see our Flats Dynamic Comparison Chart (at right).
