Johnny's 727 Broadfork
Johnny's 727 Broadfork
Seven tines, 27" wide. Deeply aerates while preserving soil structure and minimizing weed seed surfacing.
These deep-tillage tools, designed long ago in Europe and redeveloped by Eliot Coleman, are a favorite among Johnny's customers. The design makes tilling your vegetable and flower gardens seem almost effortless because you are using your body weight to insert and maneuver the tool instead of your back and arms. Seven curved tines, approximately 10 1/2" long with 4" spacing in between, and 48" oiled ashwood handles allow you to cover a lot of ground quickly. These smartly-designed, high quality tools will be a pleasure to work with for years to come. Assembled weight: 13.25 lbs. Overall width: 31". Made in Maine. Other sizes available to match your strength and comfort level.
