Xeranthemum (Paper Flower, Immortelle) - Key Growing Information

A trial planting of hot pink paper flowers (immortelle) at Johnny's Research Farm.

DAYS TO GERMINATION:

7-14 days at 65-75°F (18-24°C)

SOWING:

Transplant (recommended) - Sow into 72-cell flats, or preferred seeding container, 5-8 weeks before planting out. Gently press seeds into soil or cover seed lightly as light aids germination. Harden off and transplant outdoors. Direct seed - Sow after danger of frost, 2-6" apart. Keep soil moist until emergence. Thin seedlings to 6-12" apart.
