E. tereticornis Eucalyptus | Johnny's Selected Seeds
This is E. tereticornis.
It's a tall tree-like variety or species, and the plants grow quickly. They produce a lot of branches off of this main trunk, and the leaves on this variety hang sort of alternately off of the stems. The leaves are a little bit more elongated, a nice kind of bright green color.
And one characteristic of this variety is that the new foliage has a little bit of a reddish color. That reddish color can become more pronounced depending on the time of year. It seems to darken up a little bit more later in the season when the temperatures are getting cooler. So you might observe that.
This variety has thin but sturdy stems that are easy to clean and that make a really nice, interesting bunch between the contrast between the new growth, the red stems and green coloring on these mature leaves.
