Barcelona Red Dianthus Seed
High-quality, cool-season cut flower. Conventional raw seed.
2–4" clusters of single-petaled, cranberry-red blooms on long, strong stems. Florets bloom in shades of red and dark red, giving an almost bicolor appearance to the blooms. Compared to the Sweet™ series, blooms are wider, flatter, less globe-shaped, and have more of an umbel form. Plant vernalization is not required to initiate flowering. Fragrant blooms. Plants are high-yielding, producing long-lasting blooms, up to 14 days. Tender perennial in Zones 6–8. Raw, uncoated seed.Specs:

Transplant (recommended) - Sow 6-8 weeks before last frost. Lightly press seed into growing medium. Transplant into cell packs or 3-4" containers 20-25 days after sowing. Harden off and transplant out 6-8 weeks after sowing. Cool temperatures of 50-55°F (10-13°C) are required to keep the plants low growing and basal branching.
